Brighton Park Framed Poster
$45.00
This Brighton Park emblem was designed to reflect the neighborhood’s layered history and cultural roots. At its center, the rail junction represents the train lines that once carried goods through the area, connecting Brighton Park to Chicago’s industrial network and shaping its identity as a working hub.
The curved frame beneath the banner echoes the cattle horns of the historic stockyards and meatpacking plants nearby, honoring the generations of residents who worked in the industries that helped build the neighborhood. Surrounding the rails are botanical elements inspired by Mexican cultural symbolism—corn, cactus, and marigold—recognizing the Mexican and Mexican-American communities that have become central to Brighton Park’s story.
The color palette also draws from the Chicago flag, with blue stripes and red stars tying the design back to the city itself. Together these elements form a modern neighborhood crest—an emblem of industry, culture, and community meeting at the same crossroads.
